Gym & Swim Water Enrichment Instructor – Part-time position, 6-10 hours per week.  The Gym & Swim Water Enrichment Instructor is responsible to instruct parents and their children (ages 3 months to 3 years of age) in water safety, water enrichment, and beginning swimming skills while singing songs and leading group activities.  Classes meet in 10-week sessions, a variety of openings are available for the Monday – Saturday classes.  Classes are in the morning between 9am and Noon.  Please submit applications to Christian Gonzalez, Gym & Swim program at youthregistration@ymcasm.org.

After School Enrichment Program Counselor – Part-time position, Monday – Friday 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. shifts are  available.  After School Enrichment Program Counselors work with youth ages 5 – 14, assisting with homework, running group games, and supervising youth.  Some full-day shifts are available when school is out on break.  Candidates must have a sincere desire to work with youth, some experience is preferred.  Physical requirements of the position require staff to stand for extended periods of time, walk distances, bend, squat, lift, use stairs, and lift 40 pounds.  All staff must complete a criminal background check, be fingerprinted and participate in Child Abuse Prevention training.  CPR and First Aid Certifications are required or must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.  Please submit applications to Erika Altshule, Youth & Family Department Director at erika@ymcasm.org.

After School Enrichment Program Van Driver/Counselor– Part-time position, Monday – Friday 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. shifts are  available.  After School Enrichment Program Van Drivers work with youth ages 5 – 14 transporting youth from school sites to the Y facility.  Van Drivers will step into a counselor role once the daily transportation duties are complete.  Counselors work with youth ages 5 – 14, assisting with homework, running group games, and supervising youth.  Some full-day shifts are available when school is out on break.  Candidates must have experience transporting youth, be 21 years of age or older, possess a current drivers license, have clean driving record, and have a sincere desire to work with youth.  Physical requirements of the position require staff to stand for extended periods of time, walk distances, sit, bend, squat, lift, use stairs, and lift 40 pounds.
