Hack-A-Thon

The Santa Monica Family YMCA Hack-a-thon is an innovation-driven event designed to bring together high school students to create video games or apps.
Teams of 3-4 students will present their projects to a panel of industry experts, with prizes for top entries. Students may form teams in advance, be matched at the event, or work solo.
All participants must register individually. Some coding experience is recommended. Lunch will be provided for all participants in the hack-a-thon.
About the instructor: Alex Gavin is a rising junior at Harvard-Westlake School, a developer of numerous games and apps, and a former computer science instructor at Great Minds Robotics.
