Financial Assistance / Scholarships

The Y is a 501(c)3 non-profit and is one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the world. Every day, the Santa Monica Family YMCA offers quality, affordable programs and services designed to benefit people of all incomes and backgrounds. The Y is an essential part of our community and it belongs to everyone regardless of income, which is why we offer financial assistance to qualifying individuals and families who cannot afford membership.

Each year the Santa Monica Family YMCA provides more than $100,000 in financial assistance locally. These funds are raised through donations made to our Annual Campaign and through special events and grants.
Financial Assistance

The Santa Monica Family YMCA encourages local residents to become members. Residents of Santa Monica and Venice who qualify under our low-income guidelines are eligible for financial assistance for up to a period of six (6) months to one (1) year. Periodic reviews are conducted for continued eligibility.
