Annual Campaign

We invite you to contribute to the Santa Monica Family YMCA’s 2024 Annual Campaign. The Campaign is our Y’s primary fundraising event that raises money that supports financial assistance for youth and adults that need a helping hand to participate, funds program expansion in strategic areas, supports special programs and activities caring for seniors, and invests in community collaboration projects. When you give to the Y’s Annual Campaign, you are helping young people strive to achieve their full potential, empowering people of all ages to lead healthier lives, and giving a helping hand to those who need the Y most.

The theme of the 2024 Annual Campaign is Rise and Thrive, Together. Please join us and help us make our Santa Monica Family YMCA a for ALL, to rise and thrive, together.

How your gift makes a difference

Robert’s journey as a senior member is inspirational. He has been part of our community for over four years and has enthusiastically embraced the Y’s fitness facilities. He enjoys the free weights room, pool and the steam and sauna facilities—a testament to his commitment to holistic wellness. Beyond the physical benefits, Robert cherishes the warm, supportive community here, where both members and staff enjoy the comradery and support of the Y family. Notably, Robert credits his workouts and self-care as the cornerstone of his overall health and well-being journey.

Jackie’s journey at the YMCA serves as a remarkable testament to resilience and the power of community. After overcoming two hip fractures, her dedication to fitness found a nurturing home at the YMCA, supported by Y friends including Armand and Annie. Jackie credits the Y’s aquatic center as the perfect space for rehabilitation and exercise. The aquatics center also serves as a cherished place for special moments with her son Rich who also swims and is active at the Y. Jackie’s story is an example of how the YMCA fosters not only physical well-being but also keeps families engaged, and connected.

Leroy’s experience at the Y is truly inspiring. Having been a member for over ten years enjoying the fitness facilities, Leroy appreciates the rich diversity of people he encounters at the Y. His transformation has been incredible: from struggling with health issues, he has become fit and trimmed down achieving vibrant health, all thanks to his dedication and the supportive environment of the Y. This profound change didn’t just improve his physical health; it reignited his passion for learning, leading him to earn his BA and become a beloved math instructor for youth. Leroy’s journey is an inspirational reminder that dedication and support, can reshape one’s life- physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.
