Model Legislature & Court

High School / 9th-12th Graders

Model Legislature and Court is a program for high school youth simulating all aspects of California’s government. Youth congregate weekly to build new friendships, discuss and learn about politics, legislation and the court process. The program consist of 2 training conferences leading up to the Model Legislature and Court that takes place in Sacramento, involving 2,000 youth from across the state in a comprehensive simulation of California’s Government.

Model United Nations

Middle School  / 6th-8th Graders

The Model United Nations program provides teen members and adult leaders with a greater appreciation for our global community through hands-on involvement with international issues and solutions. The culminating conference, the General Assembly, is geared toward developing teen members’ international consciousness through role play as they represent one of the members of the United Nations. No prior knowledge of international affairs or public speaking is necessary. A desire to learn new things, have new adventures, and meet new friends is mandatory!

The Santa Monica Delegation meets weekly every Tuesday at 5:00pm starting January 14, 2020 at the Santa Monica Family YMCA to prepare for the Model UN Summit in April.  CLICK HERE to view the program flyer and registration information.
